Matt Lawton hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI at Pro Player Stadium as the
Dublin Pubcrawlers beat the pathetic Burbank Tigers 5 to 4.
The deciding run was scored by Dublin in the 8th. After two were out Corey
Koskie delivered a base-hit. Jeff Kent was next and he laced a single. Trot
Nixon then banged out a single scoring the run. Burbank threatened in the
9th but Dublin was able to put down the rally.
Carlos Zambrano(11-10) went 7 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. John
Smoltz earned the save, his 25th. Jason Jennings(3-18) absorbed the loss.
He was unable to control the Dublin offense and allowed 11 hits and 3 walks
in 7 and 2/3 innings.
